Big Springs UT Trailhead

Big Springs and Cascade Summit Trailheads
Big Springs trail is available for motorized and non-motorized vehicles as well as for hiking and horseback in the summer months.  It is popular for snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, and snow caves in the winter.

This is a popular trail since it is an easy climb and has numerous creek crossings via wood bridges.  At times you will be hiking through a tunnel of trees before bursting out into large, grassy meadows.  The scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains is unmatched.

Children can easily make the hike but it is not handicapped accessible.

Big Springs UT

Big Springs, Utah
Big Springs is one of several sparkling water springs feeding a series of ponds, which eventually form South Fork Creek, a small tributary of the Provo River.  Big Springs is located approximately one mile from the Big Springs park and accessed by a well-marked trail.

Big Springs’ fresh water meanders through maple, oak, and aspen trees as it makes its way down hill, dumping into South Fork Creek and then into the Provo River.
